Oct 10, 2018 Do you guys apply auto-tune post vox or have it on while tracking an artist? Could you use sends or aux tracks and route auto tune? Which is the preferred way? If you have autotune on while tracking, can the artist here the autotune applied in the realtime or just playback? Sidebar: I'm on. There are two different ways that pitch correction software works. One is suitable for live use, one isn't. The first way (used in products like Antares AutoTune) detects the pitch of each note sung, in real time, and automatically shifts it to th.
Was trying to set up some manual fan curves, so I downloaded AI Suite for the fan control options. Went into Fan Xpert 4 or whatever it's called and it prompted me to run the auto tune option, which I did.
Took maybe a minute, and since then my three front intake fans and two rear exhaust fans have completely stopped spinning. I've tried setting them to the four profiles it came up with, silent to full speed but no change. Tried uninstalling AI Suite and setting Q-fan options to auto etc but still they refuse to work. Also tried installing Speedfan but it isn't letting me change the RPM etc.
My Case is an EVGA DG-86, 2 exhaust fans and 2 of the front intake fans are Noctua NF-A14 Industrial PPC 140mm 2000RPM PWM Fans, with one of the front intake fans being the 3000 RPM versions as PCCaseGear only had 4 of the 2000 RPM in stock.
Any idea's how to revert whatever the auto tuning changed to stuff up the fans?
I'm tempted to reset the bios to factory settings to see if that will get them running since this build is only a week old.
UPDATE: While clearing Cmos did indeed seem to change the Q-fan settings back to normal, my fans are still not spinning. Also tried argusmonitor to change fan RPMS etc but while I could manually set RPM to whatever I wanted the fans didn't move.
UPDATE 2: After unplugging everything and testing each fan directly they themselves are working fine. What isn't working fine is the DG-86's built in fan hub. I can't see how Fan Xpert could have done anything to do, does Fan Xpert change voltages to the fans somehow? Could it have damaged the fan controller like that? Weird coincidence that they stopped the exact moment I ran the auto tune, but I just can't see how that could have done anything.

Lets be honest: 90% of popular artists working today use auto-tune in some capacity. Modern listeners are so accustomed to hearing pitch-perfect voices and flawlessly rendered instrumental arrangements that anyone who doesnt employ auto-tune and other digital touch-ups during the production stages of their music might as well take themselves out of the competition. Weve come to associate 'perfect' records with professionalism, and any artist hoping to score radio airplay needs to play by that unrealistic set of rules. Still, theres a difference between artists who use digital tools to polish their sound and artists whose songs are entirely built from computer wizardry. Someone like Adele may hire expensive music producers to make her songs sound 'professional,' but you know shes got chops from the way she wails at live shows. However for every Adele who can back up the studio albums in the live arena, many other artists use auto-tune and digitisation because they have no musical chops to speak of. These computerised tools have made it possible for just about anyone to make a hit song, but theres a catch: you can usually spot someone overusing them from a mile away. Indeed, when auto-tune is overused, songs go from sounding like music to something more akin to a carnival attraction. Its a phenomenon that has taken the human factor out of quite a few hit songs, and a trend that has us wondering exactly which artists out there have officially stopped being people and now resemble simple computer programs? From out-of-this-world robot bands to artistically bankrupt hit-making machines, we hope youll enjoy our list.
